ESEF Scholarship
The first core program ESEF funds is our Student Scholarships program for Elgin seniors as they continue on to higher education or technical/trade school programs. Elgin seniors fill out an application and supply their transcript, a resume, and a short essay in response to a prompt given by ESEF. A scholarship selection committee formed per the bylaws of ESEF ranks the applications and awards the scholarships in a “blind read” process.
A Step Forward
In 2025, ESEF awarded six ($500) scholarships. These scholarships can be used toward tuition or supplies to a school or university of the recipient’s choice. ESEF funds our two core projects by securing and distributing contributions made to the foundation. These contributions come from local businesses, individuals, alumni as well as Elgin teachers and faculty through contributions from their paychecks. We look forward to expanding our scholarship program with your help.
